Ashtanga Yoga : Philosophy & Practice
Sunday 13 Jun 10:00-13:00
Service Description
This workshop offers an exploration of the eight limbs of yoga, with particular emphasis on Yamas and Niyamas as the foundation of practice. The session includes discussion, reflection, and inquiry, situating asana within its wider philosophical context. The practical component is a slow, accessible modified Primary Series, taught with emphasis on breath, continuity, and restraint rather than completing postures. The practice is intended to embody the principles discussed, allowing philosophy to be experienced through movement rather than approached solely as theory. This workshop is suitable for students wishing to deepen their understanding of yoga practice and for teachers seeking a grounded, traditional perspective. This workshop may be counted as 3 hours of self-directed CPD for yoga teachers. Limited to 8 students to allow for individual attention. Booking confirms your place.
